We don't provide any packaging, so you must bring your own container. If you know the exact weight you need, please select "by weight (g)" and enter the number of grams. Alternatively, you can choose to bring your container and simply "fill it up" or fill it "half full" etc. Since all containers vary in size, if you choose one of these options we'll weigh and price your order when you collect it. Your selection helps us estimate how much to bring with us.

product information
Currants are members of the ribes family of flowering shrubs that thrive in northern climates with warm summers and cold winters. The tiny berries grow in clusters on stems and are best when allowed to ripen on the plant. They are dried, dark red, seedless grapes often called the Black Corinth grape. The grapes are dried to produce a black, shriveled, sweet, flavor-packed fruit.
The grapes were originally cultivated in the south of Greece and more specifically, the island of Zante, hence the name Zante currant.

They also contain a variety of different polyphenol antioxidants, which have been linked with cancer prevention, heart health, obesity and even diabetes prevention.
